Tiburon shutters are often installed on storage settling basins and sewer manholes. Closed, the hatch is completely watertight and airtight, sealing off odors from a well, for example. When the hatch opens for maintenance, the sturdy grate ensures that no one can fall into the opening. Two-part hatches are equipped with a fully removable intermediate post.
